Hello, I’m Sue, a celebrant based in the South East of England, and I create bespoke, meaningful ceremonies that honour life in all its forms.
With over 20 years’ experience as a creative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, and 14 years as a celebrant, I bring warmth, professionalism, and a deep understanding of people to everything I do. I specialise in crafting personalised ceremonies for funerals, including spiritual funeral services, as well as supporting those experiencing pregnancy and baby loss with sensitivity and care. I also create naming ceremonies, pet memorials, and inclusive LGBTQ+ weddings and vow renewals—each one thoughtfully designed to reflect your unique story, values, and wishes.
I feel incredibly passionate about supporting marginalised communities, particularly LGBTQ+ individuals and families, and I strive to create safe, affirming, and respectful spaces where everyone feels seen and celebrated.
Alongside my celebrant work, I run bereavement groups and offer one-to-one support, helping people navigate grief with compassion and understanding. My approach is always rooted in kindness, respect, and truly listening to what matters most to you.
I’m also a qualified forest therapy practitioner, and where appropriate, I love to gently weave a connection to nature into my work, offering a sense of calm and reflection.
I share my life with my husband and a lovely family, including two daughters and six grandchildren, as well as my two furry companions, Jeff and Eric—one of whom is a trained support dog and can attend ceremonies on request, offering additional comfort and reassurance.
For me, every ceremony is personal. I take great care in creating something that feels authentic, meaningful, and held with warmth—so that you and your loved ones feel truly supported at every step.
